Smallwood Rips Lonely Mountain for 5 Hits Thursday, April 13th , 2023 Canada center fielder Conner Smallwood had a day to remember today, 5-for-5 against the Lonely Mountain Stone Cutters at Ballpark of Texas as the Maples picked up a 7-5 victory. "He was patient up there today," Canada skipper Ike Broslofski told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Smallwood has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Conner Smallwood singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Pedro Frozenfist in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
