The Texas Gunfighters got a magnificent performance from pitcher Antonio Vidal, who muffled the Miami offense en route to a tight 2-1 Gunfighters win at Ballpark of Miami. The 4th-place Gunfighters improved to 69-93.
The result might have been different for Texas, had it not been for Enrique Ortíz, the 25-year old second baseman . Ortíz stroked a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Texas up, 2-1. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Vidal. "I like it."
