Alaska's Chaisson Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, June 17th, 2019 24-year-old Tom Chaisson made a few Alaska headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Major Conference officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 20 at-bats to put up a .550 average. Chaisson collected 1 home run, 6 RBIs and scored 5 runs. For the season Chaisson has produced 47 hits in 138 at-bats for a .341 average with 12 home runs and gotten on base at a .410 clip. |
