Hounddogs Raise Rally Flag, Beat Mars, 5-3
Hawaii Hounddogs starter Alex Smith pitched a strong game against the Mars Eyebiters at Mars Field, leading the Hounddogs to victory, 5-3. Hawaii reliever Elijah Tebow picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chad Thomas shouldered the loss. The win puts Hawaii at 4-4.

Hawaii used the timely hitting of Johnathan McGee to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hounddogs on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Smith said.
