Rabbits Triumph in 2024 Championship Series

With a 1-0 win over the Boston Beaneaters tonight at Mile Long Stadium, the Denver Rabbits wrapped up their 1st title in team history.
Denver left little doubt who was the better club. "Team" was the word of the day as the Rabbits celebrated the culmination of their banner year in the victors clubhouse following the game.
"Hitting, pitching, fielding; those are all things you need to win, but most importantly you need a team, a team that works together toward the same collective goal," said Denver manager Brian Woods. "Our players felt that way all year and they played that way. When one guy had an off day, 24 others stepped up their game and filled the void."
A jovial mood filled the air as Denver celebrated into the night. The city's mayor said parade plans were underway and a "huge celebration" in the works.
"We're going to celebrate our team, our championship Denver Rabbits," the mayor said.
The champions completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Major Conference Central Division and a 97-65 record.

Forbes Injured in Freak Off-Field Accident

The Detroit Devils have lost reliever Randy Forbes for 6 months after he suffered an undisclosed injury while arm wrestling at a local bar.
