Boston Beaneaters starter Scot Johnson pitched a strong game against the Miami Stars at Fenway Park, leading the Beaneaters to victory, 2-1. Brandon Sanders recorded the save for Boston, his 2nd of the season. Boston goes to 9-1.

Boston took a 2-1 lead on Eduardo Nunez's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Nunez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Miami pitcher Ervin Russell visibly frustrated.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Nunez. "But I like how we're playing right now."
