Stars Fall Short, 4-3, at Charlotte

The Charlotte Hawks racked up a win at Hawk Nest, bumping off the Miami Stars, 4-3. Antonio Rodriguez, who started for Charlotte, pitched effectively for his team. Adrian Banuelos converted his 28th save in 33 tries. With the win, Charlotte upped its record to 50-39.
Bob Baker drove in one run for Charlotte. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ray Evans. It was his 24th RBI of the season.
Rodriguez told a Charlotte Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
