The Portland Decepticons relied on the hitting of designated hitter Edgardo Rodriguez to stop the Detroit Devils, 6-3. For the game, Rodriguez was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Alan Everett picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-0. Dwight Schrute was tagged with the loss. Portland is 4th in the Major Conference Western Division with a record of 43-49.
Howard Jenkins hit a run-scoring double off Dwight Schrute in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Decepticons in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Jenkins had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Rodriguez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
