With third baseman Ren-qing Sun leading the charge, the Portland Decepticons defeated the Denver Rabbits, 7-5, at Mile Long Stadium. Sun, who won the Jeffrey Lamar Lewis Award in 2019, went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Mark Hunter. Denver falls to 6-3.

Sun had a timely hit for Portland in the top of the eighth. With Denver trailing 3-2, he turned a 0-2 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 6-3, Portland.

Sun told a Portland News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
