New York Makes It 7 Straight with 4-3 Win
|
The Springfield Isotopes got a superb performance from pitcher Domingo Rodriguez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat New York. The Knights won the game, 4-3. Rodriguez threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Ernesto Cantu got the save, his 22nd in 24 chances. The second-place Knights have won 7 straight games.
Ramon Duran went 1-3 with a triple for New York. The 25-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Domingo Rodriguez. It was his 48th RBI of the season.
Duran called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
