Toledo Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
The Toledo Mud Hens have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Miami Stars, winning 9-2 at Toledo Ballpark today. Mud Hens left-hander Dorian Ivey threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Mud Hens to 2-1 in the best-of-5 Division Series.

Colby Rinard took Greg Kosman deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Mud Hens on top, 2-0. In all, Rinard had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Ivey. "Successful pitchers do it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Toledo Ballpark in Toledo.
