Miami Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R3
With starter Johnny Anderson leading the charge, the Miami Stars defeated the Las Vegas Gamblers, 4-2, in Game 3 of the League Series today. The right-hander threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball at Ballpark of Miami to help Miami take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Ramon Torra, the Miami center fielder, contributed a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 3-1, Stars. For the game, Torra went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

Torra called the win "a team effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Miami in Miami.
