Almost There: Miami On Cusp of R3 Triumph After 4-3 Win
The Miami Stars moved to within one game of the Championship Series today, downing the visiting Las Vegas Gamblers at Ballpark of Miami by a score of 4-3. Stars center fielder Ramon Torra did some major damage. He went 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win gives the Stars a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 League Series.

Torra came through for Miami with a 2-run double in the bottom of the second. He hit a 1-0 fastball to left-center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Torra.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Miami in Miami.
