Miami Takes League Series
Ramon Torra sparked his Miami Stars past the pesky Las Vegas Gamblers in a closely-contested League Series.

Miami topped Las Vegas 7-5 at Ballpark of Miami to decide the series, 4-1

For his efforts, Torra was rewarded with the series MVP trophy for his .500 batting average, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"You never want to leave anything on the field," Torra said. "You never want to miss a play of defense you could have made, or give up an extra base you could have gotten, because in a series this tight you never know what you'll need to win."

The Miami Stars will play against the Hollywood B's in the next round. Hollywood won their series against the Alaska Snow Sox 4 games to 1. The Championship Series schedule will be announced after the League Series finishes.
