A 3-RBI performance from Patrick Coote, who is tied for 5th in the SC in doubles with 25, helped the Mars Eyebiters beat the Portland Decepticons, 8-6. Frank Branch earned his 6th save in 6 chances. The win makes Mars 43-54.

Mars grabbed control in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Donald Allen delivered a 2-run single, to make it 8-6 in favor of the Eyebiters.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Coote, "but we could've played better."
