Shockers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Phoenix, 2-1
|
The Los Angeles Shockers got a stellar effort from pitcher Joe Lamb, helping Los Angeles score a win over the visiting Phoenix Autobots, 2-1. The victory gives Los Angeles a record of 50-48.
Logan Best was the walk-off hero for Los Angeles. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shockers center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"We scored one run," said Phoenix manager Bob Myers. "You're not gonna get a lot of Ws scoring just one run."
