Philadelphia Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Philadelphia Grays picked up a win at Ballpark of Philadelphia, taking down the Orlando Rugrats, 5-4. Starting pitcher Tom Weaver was a big reason why. Philadelphia reliever John O'Brien picked up the win, upping his record to 3-5. Darrell Tibbs was saddled with the loss. With the win, Philadelphia raised its record to 57-47.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Philadelphia right fielder Kelsey Lester, facing Art Hughes, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Grays the 5-4 win.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Lester.
