Eyebiters Get Past Bay Area for 1-0 Win
The Eyebiters faced a stiff challenge from Bay Area pitcher Chris Carlson, but persevered to claim a win at Bandits Park. The final score was 1-0. Carlson went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The 4th-place Eyebiters are 47-60.

Mars used the timely hitting of Donald Allen to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Eyebiters on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Both teams played hard," said Mars manager Denny Romero.
