Eyebiters Knock Off Bay Area, 6-1
The Bay Area Bandits and Mars Eyebiters were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Kirby Morris never let Bay Area get something going. The Mars right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Eyebiters to a 6-1 win. Morris, now 7-7, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 4, and allowing 1 run.

Mars used a clutch hit from Brady Balmer to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Eyebiters ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Morris said after the game.

The Eyebiters, at 52-59, sit in third place in the Superior Conference Western Division.
