4-1 Win Takes Seagulls to 56-55
|
The New York Cobra went down to defeat to Juan Nieto and his Toronto teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Seagulls. Ed McCoy was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 32 of 32 save opportunities. The win gives Toronto a season record of 56-55.
The Seagulls got an important contribution from designated hitter Aaron Moore, who in the bottom of the first punched a 1-1 fastball into center for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Seagulls ahead, 3-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Moore.
