Gamblers Win 5th Straight, Take Down Winds, 10-4
The Las Vegas Gamblers picked up a win at Gambler Field, taking down the Chicago Winds, 10-4. Starting pitcher Roger Blackwood was a big reason why. In 7 innings, Blackwood surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. With the win, Las Vegas upped its record to 67-49.

The Gamblers got an important contribution from center fielder Ken Sanders, who in the bottom of the third punched a 0-2 changeup into right-center for a run-scoring triple. It was his 12th triple of the season and put the Gamblers ahead, 2-0.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Blackwood told the Las Vegas Chronicle.
