Tonka Sensational for Cobra
Silvanos Tonka never let the Devils get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Cobra to a win, 4-1. Douglas Murphy earned his 24th save in 30 chances. The Cobra, at 60-62, sit in third place in the Major Conference Eastern Division.

Tonka, a native of Hesperia, California, was dealing all game. He kept Detroit hitters off-balance, while giving the Cobra 7 quality innings. Tonka threw 98 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Tonka said.
