The Mars Eyebiters picked up a win at Ballpark of Texas, taking down the Texas Gunfighters, 4-2. Starting pitcher Fred Leonard was a big reason why. Earning the save was Jose De La Cerda. He's now cashed in 7 of 12 save opportunities. With the win, Mars goes to 55-78, while the Gunfighters fall to 58-74.

Craig Contreras, the 25-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Contreras contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Mars up, 2-1.

"Feels good to get the job done," Contreras said after the game.
