The Las Vegas Gamblers defeated the Mars Eyebiters, 3-2, in Superior Conference action at Gambler Field. Las Vegas pitcher Roger Blackwood had a standout performance. The Gamblers, now 2-0, have hit the ground running this season.

Las Vegas took a 3-2 lead on Yoon-tae Kim's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Kim hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Mars pitcher Lloyd Dooley visibly frustrated.

"I was a little disappointed," said Mars manager Denny Romero. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
