Beaneaters Win Nail-Biter
The Boston Beaneaters picked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Springfield Isotopes, 3-2. Starting pitcher Harvey Lee was a big reason why. The first-place Beaneaters, at 87-50, now lead their division by 18½ games.

Boston won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With one out and Bob O'Reilly on the mound for Springfield, designated hitter Ramon Pimentel hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Beaneaters fans to their feet.

"This game tested our mettle," said Pimentel.
