Murray Helps Detroit Outscore Chicago
Detroit and Chicago slugged it out at Wrigley Field.

Chris Murray left his imprint on the 14-12 Detroit win against the Chicago Winds. Murray, who leads the MC with a .962 OPS, went 2-3 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Curt Jensen earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 4 runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record is now 3-0. Alonso Romo converted his 35th save in 41 tries.

With Detroit leading 12-3 in the top of the seventh, Murray came up to bat against Chicago pitcher Juan Garza. Murray hit a curveball to right-center for a 2-run home run. His 52nd home run of the season put the Devils on top, 14-3.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Murray said.

The win lifted the Detroit record to 80-61.
