Utes Get Past Mars for 6-5 Win
The Utah Utes trumped the Mars Eyebiters, 6-5, at Mars Field. Utah shortstop Wesley Coffield was terrific. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Cesar Cordero was credited with the save, his 6th in 6 tries. With the win, Utah raised its record to 80-62.

Leo Hamilton, the 30-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hamilton contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Utah up, 5-4.

In postgame comments, Hamilton told the Utah Bulletin: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
