Hawks Rally to Eke Out Win
The Charlotte Hawks picked up a win at Toledo Ballpark, knocking off the Toledo Mud Hens, 5-4. On the mound for Charlotte was right-hander Malcolm Sherman, who played a pivotal role in the win. Adrian Banuelos earned his 28th save in 35 tries. With this game in the books, Charlotte is 64-78, Toledo 75-68.

Charlotte used the timely hitting of Bubba Donaldson to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hawks on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Sherman.
