Loss to Winds Extends Texas Losing Streak
The Chicago Winds topped the Texas Gunfighters, 4-3, in Superior Conference action at Wrigley Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chicago designated hitter Silveran Kanan Bonis. Bonis went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 5, and struck out 5. His record improves to 10-9. Steve Kepler, credited with the save, is now 18 for 21 in save opportunities.

With Chicago leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Bonis hit a run-scoring single off Texas hurler Javier Munoz. It was the 139th hit of the season for Bonis and put his team ahead, 3-1.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Texas manager Pudge Fernandez said following the tough loss.

The losing skid has reached 6 games for Texas.
