With second baseman Harmon Bokai leading the charge, the New York Cobra defeated the Los Angeles Shockers, 7-3, at Shockadome. Bokai, who is tied for 5th in the MC with a .376 on-base percentage, went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs. Elmer Stephens, now 5-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. With the victory, the Cobra upped their record to 86-59.

The outcome might have been different had it not been for Bokai. In the top of the eighth inning, when the Cobra were trailing 3-2, Bokai delivered a two-out 2-run single for New York, giving his team the lead.

"I still think this team can play even better," Bokai told the New York Citizen.
