Hawks Deal Gunfighters 7-4 Setback
The Charlotte Hawks topped the Texas Gunfighters, 7-4, in Superior Conference action at Hawk Nest. The game was highlighted by the performance of Charlotte left fielder Bubba Donaldson. The winning pitcher was Barrett Cordova. He tossed 100 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. The Gunfighters fall to 6-10.

The Hawks benefited from an error in the bottom of the fifth inning. Charlotte was leading 4-3 when Adrian Sandusky hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Charlotte in front, 5-3.

"I felt good up there," said Donaldson. "I saw the ball well."
