Decepticons Beat Mars, 3-2
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Portland Decepticons got the win.

Mars wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Kris Smith, falling to the Portland Decepticons, 3-2. Smith threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. Portland is in last place in the Major Conference Western Division with a record of 64-85.

Portland used a timely hit from Rodney Johnson to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Decepticons ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Johnson.
