The Boston Beaneaters picked up a win at Fenway Park, knocking off the Louisville Sluggers, 4-2. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Jeremy Byers, who played a pivotal role in the win. The triumph puts Boston at 96-53 for the season.
The Beaneaters got a big at-bat from third baseman Lonnie Ritson. For the game, Ritson was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 26th double of the season gave Boston a 2-0 lead.
