Denver Rabbits starter Dennis Bellew pitched his team past the Cleveland Spiders, 2-1. The win elevated the Rabbits to 80-72.
Denver won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With one out and David Lewis on the mound for Cleveland, third baseman George Sheppard hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Rabbits fans to their feet.
