The Charlotte Hawks picked up a win at Hawk Nest, knocking off the Springfield Isotopes, 6-5. Starting pitcher Jack McEoin was a big reason why. Paul Hayes came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Charlotte has now won 5 in a row.

Mike McLeod was the walk-off hero for Charlotte. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hawks center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," McLeod said.
