The performance of Jason Combs proved critical in helping Los Angeles beat Bay Area, 11-2. The Shockers left fielder went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Allan Stroud got credit for the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 6 innings. After today's action, Los Angeles sits at 78-82, while Bay Area falls to 95-65.

The Shockers got an important contribution from center fielder Logan Best, who in the bottom of the first punched a 0-2 slider into right for a 2-run triple. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Shockers ahead, 3-0.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Combs said after the game.
