Jordan Smacks 3 Homers in 15-5 Seagulls Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Orlando Rugrats and Toronto Seagulls get after it.
The Toronto Seagulls beat the Orlando Rugrats, 15-5, at Toronto Fields. The Seagulls got a fine performance from designated hitter Broderick Jordan, who belted 3 home runs. Picking up the win was Juan Nieto. He went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 11 and walked 2. Roberto Ruiz notched his 1st save in 1 chances.
Alex Duran, who finished 4th in the MC in wins above replacement with 7.2 in 2019, chipped in for Toronto with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Duran.
Orlando, at 87-74, has lost 4 straight.
