Los Angeles turned a good effort from starter Allan Stroud into a win over the Portland Decepticons at ConDome. The final score was 4-2. The first-place Shockers, at 97-65, now lead their division by 8 games.

Lonnie Cook, the 25-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Cook contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Los Angeles up, 1-0.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Stroud told the Los Angeles Daily.
