|
Las Vegas Gamblers starter Ben Angus turned in a sterling performance against the New York Knights, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. In 6.1 innings, Angus surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Jason Moore earned the save for Las Vegas, his 10th.
Ken Sanders, the 27-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Sanders contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Las Vegas up, 3-2.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Las Vegas manager Ray Brooks. "Our pregame was pretty good."
Las Vegas is now 14-6.
