The Toledo Mud Hens and Miami Stars played an exciting game.

Toledo turned a good effort from starter Dorian Ivey into a win over the Miami Stars at Ballpark of Miami. The final score was 3-2. Jesus Palmeiro collected save number 1.

Toledo used the bat of Paul Lambert to capture the win. The catcher jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mud Hens ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"Bottom line," said Miami skipper Ryne Solo Jr., "we didn't play well enough to win."

The loss puts Miami at 1-1.
