Toledo picked up a win at Ballpark of Miami, bumping off the Miami Stars, 4-1. Pitcher Mark Cole was a major reason the Mud Hens emerged victorious. Jesus Palmeiro finished to wrap up his 4th save. The win brings the Mud Hens to 8-14, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.

Tsutomu Sato, the 28-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Sato contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put Toledo up, 2-0.
