Streaking Stars Win Another One, 6-2
|
Miami turned a good effort from starter Brad Fernandez into a win over the Springfield Isotopes at Ballpark of Miami. The final score was 6-2. The win puts Miami at 15-15.
Jeff Alexander dealt the Isotopes a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Miami leading 1-0, Alexander hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run single.
"I thought we played a nice game," Alexander told the Miami Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
