Texas beat Miami in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Texas Gunfighters went home winners at Ballpark of Texas, thanks in large part to starter Cristobal Rangel. Rangel stifled the Miami Stars, enabling Texas to grab the 2-1 win. Miami falls to 16-17.

Rusty Hicks drove in one run for Texas. The 22-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ken Stafford. It was his 4th RBI of the season.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Hicks.
