Las Vegas got a big-time effort from pitcher Jon Henderson, but it wasn't enough to keep the Baltimore Colts from winning the game, 1-0. Henderson threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Blaine Shorts picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed no runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 1-2. Bob Flynn recorded the save for Baltimore, his 8th of the season.

Cale Black, the six-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Black contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Baltimore up, 1-0.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Baltimore manager Jason Sorensen.
