Eyebiters Get Clonked by Gamblers, 3-1
|
The Las Vegas Gamblers got their 2024 season off and running with a win over the Mars Eyebiters at Gambler Field. The final score was 3-1. Las Vegas pitcher Ben Angus, in particular, had a fine performance. Angus picked up the win for Las Vegas, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Jason Moore was credited with the save for Las Vegas, his 1st of the season.
Yoon-tae Kim dealt the Eyebiters a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Las Vegas leading 1-0, Kim, who finished 5th in the SC in hits with 185 last year, hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Kim told the Las Vegas Chronicle.
