With left fielder L.J. Burroughs leading the charge, the Alaska Snow Sox defeated the Florida Penguins, 4-2, at The Igloo. Burroughs, who finished 2nd in the SC in on-base percentage with .441 in 2015, went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Tony Bastard snagged the win in relief. In 2 innings, the left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit. He's now 2-1 on the season. Ken Veeck closed it out for his 5th save.

Vincent MacElheran, who finished 3rd in the MC in doubles with 49 in 2020, chipped in for Alaska with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"Bottom line," said Florida skipper Fidel Duenas, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The Snow Sox now own a record of 16-20.
