The Texas Gunfighters got a strong performance from pitcher Ryan Edmondson, who stymied the Mars offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Mars Field. Texas reliever Ryan Edmondson got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Mike Kelley was tagged with the loss. Texas is in last place in the Superior Conference Western Division with a record of 18-21.

Texas used a well-timed hit by Ricardo Rodriguez to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Gunfighters ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Rodriguez told the Texas Herald.
