Portland starter Tony Rosario pitched well against the Toronto Seagulls at Toronto Fields. The left-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Jesus Rubio, 2-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Parker Haynes earned the save for Portland, his 1st of the year.

Doug Metcalfe, the 25-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Metcalfe contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Portland up, 3-2.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rosario said.

The Decepticons raised their record to 16-22.
