The 6-5 Texas win over Utah was due in large part to Bobby Barrios. The Gunfighters third baseman went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. The Gunfighters sit in last place in the Superior Conference Western Division with a record of 19-21.

Texas won the game in the bottom of the 14th inning. With no outs and Ray Ramey on the mound for Utah, designated hitter Lou Miller hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Gunfighters fans to their feet.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Barrios, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
