The Alaska Snow Sox picked up a win at The Igloo, knocking off the Springfield Isotopes, 4-3. Starting pitcher Chris Mendez played a key role in the triumph. Alaska reliever Geoff White picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Lou Watson was tagged with the loss. Alaska has now won 5 games in a row.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Alaska trailing 3-2, Tom Chaisson hit a fastball from Lou Watson for a 2-run home run, giving the Snow Sox the walk-off win.
Chaisson described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
