Coffield Homers Twice in 4-1 Utes Win
The Utah Utes beat the Texas Gunfighters, 4-1, at Ballpark of Texas. Wesley Coffield, in particular, was impressive. He went 4-4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Jeff Reynolds got the save, the 1st for him this season. The victory gives Utah a record of 22-19.

In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Coffield hit a 2-run home run to put his team ahead.

"Bottom line," said Texas skipper Pudge Fernandez, "we didn't play well enough to win."
